On the occasion of the European Day of Parks (Giornata Europea dei Parchi )(24 May), the Foundation UniVerde appeals to visit our natural beauties during the European Parks Week (24 May / 2 June), an appeal that seeks to promote and enhance protected areas in continuity with the commitment already made by the Foundation in 2010 with the Italian Geographical Society non-profit organization UniVerde through the photo contest Objective Earth, now in its fourth edition.
Italy is the European country which is the richest in bio-diversity: "We visit our beautiful protected areas and create employment by exploiting the environmental heritage of the beautiful country," the words of Alfonso Pecoraro Scanio, President of the Foundation.
