Goji Berries: the expert answer

I am crazy for your bars with goji and acerola, I saw that you have also just launched a spread of goji. But is it true that goji has exceptional nutritional properties?

The goji berry (Lycium Barbarum) is a fruit belonging to the Solanaceae family. It is a spontaneous shrub native of Tibet. In traditional Chinese and Asian medicine, is considered a cure-all for its nutrients.

Since 2000, also the West started to get interested in these small red berries that have become the subject of some scientific studies.
Since 2004 the Italian Ministry of Health has included goji in the list of vegetal extracts that can be used in food supplements, recognizing the physiological effects that optimize the functions of the body, particularly as an antioxidant.

A wealth of vitamin C and vitamin A (and not coincidentally increasingly used in supplements), the berries have a pleasant taste.
