Log with Chestnuts and Dark Chocolate

INGREDIENTS
  • For the dough:
  • - 800 g chestnuts
  • - 80 g of dark chocolate
  • - 80 g of sugar
  • - 80 g of margarine
  • For the frosting:
  • - 100 g of dark chocolate
  • - 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • - 10 g of margarine
  • - 1 tablespoon rum
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Boil the chestnuts for 30 minutes, then peel and mash finely mashed fin a ood mill (you'll need about 500 g of mashed potatoes).
  2. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler with the margarine and the sugar provided for the dough, then mix them to the mashed chestnuts.
  3. Reduce the mixture into cylinders approximately 1.5 cm high and then logs into 3 cm long. Then arrange them in the freezer until the next day.
  4. Prepare the glaze by melting the chocolate in a double boiler with 2 tablespoons water, margarine and sugar and then adding the rum or a tablespoon of water. Cover the iced logs with the glaze and put them back in the freezer. Keep them in the fridge for another day.
  5. Cover the logs with aluminum or arrange them in boxes if you want to keep them for longer in the freezer. Pull them out of the freezer at least 20 minutes before eating them.
