Lentil Ragout - Chinese Dietetics


INGREDIENTS
  • - 350 grams of lentils
  • - 1 onion
  • - 1 carrot
  • - 1 clove of garlic
  • - 1/2 stick of celery
  • - 1 cup of tomato sauce
  • - 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • - 2 pinches of red pepper
  • - sea salt q.b.
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Finely chop the onion, carrot and celery and fry them in a saucepan with a heavy bottom (preferably earthenware) with the oil, after 5 min. combine the lentils and fry for about 10 min. then add the pureed and pepper, bring to the boil.
  2. Season with salt, cover and continue cooking over low heat for at least an hour.
  3. With this sauce you can season farro, polenta, bulgur or other cereal grain to taste.
